What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented Reality: The future of  gaming apps

Augmented Reality (AR) builds a system through which the digital info and users environment are integrated and  the result is given in real time. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), AR does not generated a totally artifical environment,  AR generated a real-world experience.

AR is used to change the natural environment in some way or to provide additional information to the user. One of its benefit is its capactiy to belend digital information, 3D components  and an individuals perception of the real world.

AR through glasses and smartphone's provides visual elements, sound etc to the user. Each user has a default setting which is changed every time to make it fit to the perception of the user of the real world through the information overlaid on it.

How does AR work?

AR contact glasses are being in the making. These technologies require hardwares such as processor, display, etc. AR works by inputing the location of the user, and to pinpoint the location of the device orintation for eg.

Sophisticated AR programs used by the military for training, use machine vision,  object recognition, gesture recognition etc.

AR's are used in special 3D apps, that help the develop to tie up animation/ contextual digital information's  in the computer programs to an augmented reality marker in the real world . When the computer receives the signal from the marker, it executes the code given by the marker. When it executes the program, the output is shown in layers.

Applications:

Games like Pokémon GO, Jurassic World Alive  etc use AR.

Military Training; In many places, Sophisticated AR's are used. Benefits of AR

AR has its own benefits like
  • Helps reduce production costs
  • Make you the stand out company
  • Give unforgettable experiences
  • Improves company-user relationship
Challenges to AR :
  • Hardware maintenance
  • Requirement of advanced AI skills
  • Privacy issues
