What's the buzz about ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a chat bot made by Open AI, a company headed by Elon Musk. ChatGPT is a chat bot whose basics are covered by Reinforced Learning and Supervised Learning. Reinforced Learning and Supervised Learning both are parts of Machine Learning.
Reinforcement Learning
Reinforcement learning is a subset of Machine Learning, in which the system is given a positive or negative feedback for its decisions or actions.
Reinforcement Learning is an area of machine learning concerned with how intelligent agents ought to take actions in an environment in order to maximise the notion of cumulative reward.

Supervised Learning
Under Supervised Learning the input data, is processed, and its predictions are to be supervised. If the prediction turns out to be wrong, the data has to be reprocessed.

In the case of ChatGPT, the bot is trained to mimic a human like conversation. ChatGPT is now, (as of 17 Jan 2023) free for all.
How is ChatGPT different from others?
ChatGPT is slightly different from the already existing technologies like Alexa, Google Assistant etc, in many ways.
The most striking difference is that it has a ridiculusly-huge dataset. Compared to others it is huge. ChatGPT has been fed and trained for continuous 9 days!. It has been fed and tested with a huge amount of data which cannot be imagined.
How Does ChatGPT work?
ChatGPT is a large language model. It uses Reinforcement Learning (RL) to generate responses by taking feedback from the human to generate response similar to humans.
ChatGPT works on the model of Large Language Models (LLM). LLMs are fed with massive amounts of data enabling them to accurately predict what word will come next in the sentence. This allows them to write big paragraphs and many pages of content.
Applications of ChatGPT
- It can be used to to generate human like responses, text etc.
- It can also be used for the translations of languages.
- It can also be useful to make summaries: ChatGPT can give a quick overview of the whole book/ document etc.
- It can also be used to figure out the sentiment of a sentence/ text etc.
